メルボルンカップ Melbourne Cup
名前の通りメルボルンで行われるオーストラリアでいちばん有名なホースレースです。
海外からも競走馬が招待されるなど国際色が強い競馬です。
またこのメルボルンカップは、オーストラリアの国の機能が止まるとも言われておりメルボルンがあるビクトリア州はこの日祝日です。

サッカー Soccer
サッカーは世界が熱狂できるスポーツです。
2022年男子サッカーワールドカップがカタールで行われ、2023年女子サッカーワールドカップがオーストラリアとニュージーランド両国開催で行われました。マチルダ（Matildas）の活躍はまだ新しいです。
Soccer is a sport that the world can go crazy about.
The 2022 Men’s Soccer World Cup was held in Qatar, while the 2023 Women’s Football World Cup was held in both Australia and New Zealand. Matildas’ work is still new.
そのサッカーですがオーストラリアにもプロサッカーリーグがありエーリーグ(A League)と呼ばれており、A League Menが男子サッカーリーグ、A League Womenが女子サッカーリーグとあります。

スカイライン ドライブ イン ブラックタウン Skyline Drive In Blacktown
シドニーで唯一のドライブインシネマで2つのスクリーンがあります。音声は車のFMステレオで聞くことが出来るので車に乗ったまま映画を堪能出来ます。

ホエールウォッチング Whale Watching
5月から11月がクジラの移動時期と言われています。
クジラは暖かい海で出産するため北へ移動します。そして、南の海で子供に餌を与えるため南へ戻ります。つまりオーストラリアの夏には北上して秋になれば南下して来るわけです。
11月の季節は夏。この時期を見逃すと来年5月頃までクジラに出会えません。

満月 Full Moon
2023年11月27日(月曜日)午後8時16分に満月を見ることが出来ます。
その11月の満月をビーバームーン(Beaver Moon)と言います。
各満月の呼び名はネイティブアメリカンの生活様式からつけられていることが多くて、11月はビーバーが冬を越すための巣作りをする時期であることからこの呼び名がつけられたと言われています。
