50th Opera House
オペラハウス50周年記念イベントが行われます。
建設期間に1959年から1973年までの14年もかけられているこのオペラハウス。2007年には世界遺産にも登録され今やオーストラリアのアイコンです。
そのオペラハウス50周年を祝うイベントが2023年10月は目白押しです。
The Opera House 50th Anniversary Event takes place.
This opera house was built for 14 years from 1959 to 1973. It was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2007 and is now an Australian icon.
There will be many events in October 2023 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opera house.
A League
オーストラリアには男子プロサッカーリーグと女子サッカープロリーグがあります。それぞれをA League Men とA League Womenと呼びます。
There are Men professional Soccer league(A League Men)and Women professional Soccer league(A League Women)in Australia.
A League Men は、10月20日(金曜日)から、A League Women は、10月14日(土曜日)から今期が開幕します。
A League Men will start on 20/Oct Friday and A League Women will start on 14/Oct Saturday in this season.
Oktoberfest
シドニーで開催されるドイツの祭典「オクトーバーフェスト Octoberfest」。
ロイヤルボタニックガーデン内にあるドメイン(Domain)にて10月28日(土曜日)午後1時から午後9時まで行われるドイツの祭典です。
本格ドイツ料理が堪能できるほか、ライブ演奏など野外パフォーマンスも楽しめます。
チケット制になっており、4回に分けて販売されていますが、(私が調べた時)既に2回目までのチケットは売り切れ状態でした。チケットの販売状況はこちらで確認出来ます。
The German festival “Octoberfest” in Sydney.
The German festival takes place at the Domain in the Royal Botanic Garden on 28th (Saturday)October from 1 pm to 9 pm.
In addition to authentic German cuisine, you can also enjoy outdoor performances such as live music.
It is a ticket system and is sold in 4 installments, but (when I checked) the tickets up to the second time were already sold out. You can check the ticket sales status here.
このイベントは、シドニー以外の都市ではパース、アデレード、メルボルンで開催されます。
This event will be held in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.
Night Noodle Market
10月3日(火曜日)から8日(日曜日)の計6日間サリーヒルズ(Surry Hills)のプリンスアルフレッドパーク(Prince Alfred Park)で行われるアジアンヌードルマーケットです。
麺好きには嬉しいイベント。アジア諸国の麺料理が楽しめれます。もちろん麺以外にもベジタリアン料理、餃子、フォーなど、さまざまなアジア料理も味わえます。
The Asian Noodles Market will be held at Prince Alfred Park in Surry Hills for six days from 3rd (Tuesday) October to 8th (Sunday) October.
A great event for noodle lovers. You can enjoy noodle dishes from Asian countries. Besides noodles, you can also taste a variety of Asian dishes such as vegetarian dishes, dumplings, and pho.

Sydney Fringe Festival
シドニーフリンジフェスティバル(Sydney Fringe Festival)とは、ニューサウスウェールズ州最大のアートフェスティバルで、毎年70の会場で450以上のイベントが開催されています。
The Sydney Fringe Festival is a largest arts festival in NSW, with over 450 events at 70 venues each year.
そのうちのひとつが下のイベント、

RADWIMPS Australian Tour
あのRADWIMPSがオーストラリアにやって来ます。10月9日(月曜日)シドニーにて、12日(木曜日)、13日(金曜日)はメルボルンにて計3日コンサートが行われます。
映画「君の名は」でおなじみのあの曲「前前前世」を演奏しているグループです。
That RADWIMPS is coming to Australia. There will be three concerts in Sydney on Monday, October 9, and in Melbourne on Thursday, October 12 and Friday, October 13.
シドニー市内からバスに乗れば10-15分ほど乗れば着く場所Moore Patk にあるHordern Pavilion で10月9日(月曜日)午後7時30分からコンサートが行われます。

12日(木曜日)、13日(金曜日)はメルボルンでコンサートが行われます。
今回はこの3日間だけです。

Slam Dunk
劇場版 The First Slam Dunk がなんと8月24日(木曜日)からイベントシネマ系映画館で上映。
いつまで上映してくれるのか分からないところはシドニー映画館あるあるですが、人気作品「鬼滅の刃無限列車編」、「ワンピースFilm Red」が2ヶ月以上同系列映画館で上映されていたことからこの作品も10月も上映されるであろうと予測しております。
The First Slam Dunk will be screened at Event Cinema from 24th (Thursday) August.
Since the popular films “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” and “One Piece Film Red” have been in cinema for more than two months, I predict that this film will also be screened in October.

最新映画も割安で見ることができる方法があります。
Tax Return
オーストラリアの会計年度は7月1日から翌年6月30日となっており、オーストラリアで働き収入があった人は必ずタックスリターンの申請をしなければなりません。また収入がない方もタックスリターンが不要である手続きを行わなければなりません。やり方としては個人で済ませるか公認会計士に任せるかの2択です。
The financial year in Australia runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year, and anyone who worked and earned income in Australia must apply for a tax return. There are two ways to do it: do it individually or leave it to a certified public accountant.
そのタックスリターンですが期限が決まっていて個人で済ませるのであれば毎年10月31日まで公認会計士にお願いするのであれば翌年5月15日までとなっています。
タックスリターンはオーストラリアで仕事をしているのであれば義務です。忘れずに。

Daylight Saving
今年のデイライトセービング(Daylight Saving 夏時間、サマータイム)は、2023年10月1日(日曜日)午前2時に始まります。この日のこの時間に1時間進みます午前3時が午前4時になります。
デイライトセービング(Daylight Saving 夏時間、サマータイム)の期間は毎年10月第1日曜日から翌年4月第1日曜日の間です。
今回は、2023年10月1日(日曜日)に始まり2024年4月7日(日曜日)午前3時に終了します。
This year’s Daylight Saving will start at 2 am. on 1st (Sunday) October 2023.
NSW Daylight Saving is available between the first Sunday of October to the first Sunday of April of each year.
This time, it will start on 1st (Sunday) October 2023 and end on 7th (Sunday) April, 2024.
これからの季節で気にして欲しい事 Things to be aware of in the coming seasons
季節が春になると風も肌寒くありません。そして日差しも冬より強くなってきます。外でのイベントを楽しもうと思うのであれば気にして欲しい事があります。
When the season is spring, the wind is not chilly. And the sun is stronger than in winter. If you want to enjoy an outdoor event, there are things to keep in mind.
日焼け止め対策 Sunscreen Measures
日差しが強いと言われているオーストラリア。外出の際には日焼け止め対策を忘れずに。
Australia is said to have strong sunlight. Don’t forget to take sunscreen when you go out.
ブッシュファイヤー (Bush Fire)
10月には思っているより日差しが強い日があります。季節もさらに日差しの強い夏に向かっていきます。日焼け止め対策は必要なことですがそれでもこの時期からブッシュファイヤー(Bush Fire)が起きます。

Melbourne Cup
2023年のメルボルンカップは11月3日(火曜日)に行われます。
The 2023 Melbourne Cup will take place on 3rd (Tuesday) November.
メルボルンカップとは、毎年11月第1火曜日にオーストラリア・メルボルンにあるフレミントン競馬場(芝3200メートル)で行われるホースレースの事です。オーストラリアでは1番有名で権威のあるレースで「国の機能が止まる」とまで言われています。
The Melbourne Cup is a horse race held every year on the first Tuesday of November at Flemington Racecourse (3200 meters on turf) in Melbourne. It is the most famous and prestigious race in Australia, and it is even said that “the function of the country will stop”.
そんな権威あるレースに日本の競走馬も出場しており、2006年のメルボルンカップではデルタブルースとポップロックが1位2位を飾っています。
ちなみに他州では祝日ではありませんがメルボルンのあるビクトリア州ではレースの日は祝日です。
Japan racehorses have also participated in such prestigious races, and in the 2006 Melbourne Cup, Delta Blues and Pop Rock finished first and second.
By the way, it is not a holiday in other states, but in Victoria, where Melbourne is located, race day is a public holiday.
Hayato Sumino (角野 隼斗)Piano Recital
日本の数多くの民放テレビ音楽番組に出演しており、また2022年4月からはNHK 「サタデーウォッチ9」の番組音楽も手掛けている角野隼斗さん。
その彼のピアノリサイタルがシドニーで行われます。
Hayato Sumino has appeared in many TV music programs in Japan, and since April 2022, he has also been working on the music for NHK’s “Saturday Watch 9” program.
His piano recital will take place in Sydney.

Metaverse of Magic
まずMetaverse(メタバース)とは、インターネット上に構成された3次元の世界、いわゆる「仮想空間」の事です。

まとめ Conclusion
いかがでしたでしょうか？
10月にもなればもう寒くなく屋外で行われるイベントにも出かけやすくなるものです。それ自体は嬉しいことですが天気が良すぎると日に焼けてしまいます。なので日焼け止め対策は忘れずに。
またこれからの季節は山に行くには注意が必要です。ブッシュファイヤーに巻き込まれたらもう最悪です。気をつけてください。
日差しやブッシュファイヤーに気をつけてイベントを楽しんでください。
