2023年8月の満月は何がレア? What is the rare Full Moon in August 2023?
何がレアなのかと言えば、2023年8月は2回満月を見ることが出来、どちらもスーパームーンだということなのです。
お月様の満ち欠けは平均29.5日で1周します。なので、ひと月に1回は満月が見れる訳ですが、2023年8月は2回見れるのです。

満月とは、
衝の位置にある月。望ともいう。このとき月面は，月食でないかぎり，地球側の半面全体に太陽の光を受けて円形に輝き，その光度は－12.6等。これは金星の最も明るいときの約 1900倍の光量にあたる。古来日本では，旧暦8月の満月を「中秋の名月」として珍重し，月見の宴を催した。また，満月の月面に肉眼で認められる明暗模様は，昔から世界の各地方，各民族で，うさぎ，かに，双子その他さまざまな形に見立てられ，固有の伝説を残している。

要は、お月様が太陽の光を受けてまんべんなく反射するため、まん丸に見えることをいいます。

スーパームーンとは What is Supermoon
その年に見える月の中で「もっとも大きく見える満月」の事です。お月様の見える大きさは月と地球との距離に関係していて、この月と地球との距離が近いほど大きく見えます。つまり地球と月との距離が最も近くなった時のお月様です。なのでこの距離は月の公転と関係しています。

マイクロムーンとは What is Micromoon
マイクロムーンとは、お月様と地球との距離が最も長くなった時の満月の事です。スーパームーンと逆の現象です。

スーパームーンとマイクロムーンを比較 Comparing Supermoon and Micromoon
ここでスーパームーンとマイクロムーンを比較してみたいと思います。
月が地球に最接近する時に見られる満月をスーパームーンと言い、マイクロムーンはその逆で月と地球との距離が最も離れている時に見える満月のことで、スーパームーンとマイクロムーンでは距離にして約49,487㎞もの差があります。これは地球の周りを回っている月が楕円を描いて公転しているからなのです。
このため、マイクロムーンとスーパームーンでは、地球から見える大きさに違いがあります。
ただし普段からお月様(満月)を見ていないとこの違いは分かりにくいかもしれません。

満月がブルームーンと呼ばれる理由にはいくつか諸説があります。
その中でひと月に満月が2回発生する。が一般的です。
月の満ち欠けは平均29.5日といわれており、満月がその月の1日もしくは2日に発生した場合、その月の下旬にあたる30日、31日にもう一度満月が発生する可能性があります。この現象が起きるとひと月に2回満月を見ることが出来、ブルームーンが発生した事になります。

他にある所説を調べてみました。
調べてみたら3つの説を見つけました。
I found three theories.
何らかの理由で青く見える月がブルームーンという説。
The theory is that the moon that appears blue for some reason.
この説は、噴火などの影響で大気中にチリやガスが滞留してその影響で月が青く見えるという説です。
This theory is that dust and gas accumulate in the atmosphere due to the effects of eruptions, etc.
もうひとつは、ひとつの季節に満月が4回ある時の3回目という説です。
The other theory is that it is the third time there are four full moons in one season.
つまり、秋分や夏至といった季節の節目で満月はだいたい3回発生しますが、まれに4回発生することがあります。この時の3番目の月をブルームーンと呼ばれます。

そしてブルームーンが見えると幸せになるという説です。

今年は4回見ることができます。

7月2日(日曜日)、8月1日(火曜日)、30日(水曜日)、そして9月28日(木曜日)。

スーパームーンを見るために適した場所 Good place to see the Supermoon
お月様は、星座や流星群と違って明るい天体ですので、観察に適した場所というのは特に考えなくて良いと思います。
街の中を歩いていても、家の中からでも雲が多いとか大雨が降っているとか無ければどこからでも見ることが出来ます。
Unlike constellations and meteor showers, the Moon is a bright celestial body, so you don’t have to think about a suitable place for observation.
Even if you are walking in the city, from inside the house, you can see it at anywhere if there are many clouds or heavy rain.

お月様は約29.5日で満ち欠けを行っています。
なので毎月満月を見ることが出来、その毎月の満月には呼び名が着いています。
